I have a lender yes but they didn’t ask about an IVA. They are not aware of it. I have a few solicitors telling me that the IVA even while completed could show up on their bankruptcy search. One solicitor told me they use equifax and Experian for bankruptcy search so it sounds to me that’s a full cr...

I believe they only check the insolvency register so it shouldn't show up. I am presuming you have done all the usual "housekeeping" operations ( checking the register and credit files yourself). Yes. I am not on the register but as IVA only started 4 years ago it hasn’t dropped off my credit file ...

Hi, As part of potential property purchase I understand solicitor will carry out a bankruptcy search. While I have never been bankrupt my IVA completed just over 3 years ago. I am worried my IVA may still show up somewhere, is this possible? I am not on any register now given completion so long ago....

Foggy, yes the default is one month after my IVA started so guess I can live with that. I didnt realise it would just drop off even in default status. Does that mean anything at all only stays on a credit report for 6 years? So even settled closed, satisfied and defaulted accounts will disappear? Th...

As per title my IVA completed over 6 months ago. Within a month all my creditors had updated my credit report correctly apart from Eversheds which are still defaulting me even now instead of showing satisfied. They voted during my arrangement so this is not a debt missed or anything. Can someone ple...

Thanks brigadeen. That gives me some hope then. I had really wanted it off before 2016 as it means a real fresh start next year! Noted then you got no reply so I will hold out then and hope that like you it does just drop off. Thanks again everyone for the replies. Given briggadeen experience then s...

ok, wasn't aware of the 3 month timescale.

I just get frustrated when I email these public sector institutions and they havent even the decency to come back to me with a reply let alone acknowledge receipt of my email.

Yes, you are right. My IP or at least the person who emailed me back has confused the credit ref agencies with the register. I will give the register another few days in hope they will come back to me.

My IP told me that the creditors remove it which didnt make much sense to me. I had always thought it was the IP to give notice to the register to remove. Briggadeen, how long did it take out of interest for you to get an email response from the NI register? I emailed them with a copy of my completi...

Hi, Now my IVA is completed should my IP be informing the register to take my name off? How does this process work please? I am trying to understand where the responsibility lies whether myself, IP or creditors? Note this is the Northern Ireland register so different to the main one. Will appreciate...

Thanks for the replies so far. The issue I have is that I may not be in the position to setup a limited company and have anyone else other than myself as a Director. I find it very frustrating these days that a computer is making a decision with no regard to my income (which is quite high), the circ...

Was RBS, they were a creditor so was more in case I needed to still request a manual closure. I dont need them. If they pop back onto my online banking then I will close them but like you said they are closed already then most likely.
