under the terms of the IVA the money is due in it's entirety. The choices are to pay the money in or fail - at which point with a large cash sum available the creditors would almost certainly petition for bankruptcy which would result in losing it all anyway. The only way to prevent paying over the ...

You will have to hand over 50% of any increased surplus as set out in your proposals. Don't forget you have also agreed in your proposals to abide by the budget set by the common financial statement. As this allows unlimited costs for things like rent and utilities and only limits the variable "opti...

How it will work will depend on which company you are with. If you are with Payplan or Cleardebt then you will be expected to pay extra from the date of the first increased paycheque. Depending on which benefits you most you can choose to allow the payslip reviews to go ahead every 3 months on the 1...

Payplan only take standing order payments or card payments - they never do direct debits - so it is up to you to make sure your standing order is the correct amount. Don't worry about what is on the payplan plus website - use the figures on your review letter. Payplan plus sometimes messes up paymen...

IVAs are listed on the insolvency register the same as bankruptcies and some companies get the two confused when they do a credit search, however your name should have been removed when you received your completion certificate. You will need to check with your IVA company if this has not happened an...

Topic: Would I be allowed to buy from a catalogue and pay by instalments ?

No, a catalogue is considered extra credit and is a breach of the terms of the arrangement. Regardless of the £500 clause most arrangements state that NO further credit facilities at all may be taken with the exception of utilities. That means absolutely no credit - even for £10 - can be taken witho...

You can try - however the equity from the house is probably due into the IVA anyway so the chances of acceptance at variation are low.

You must declare any additional income at any time. If you have a new job it is probably best to do your annual review a few months early as you will have different costs for travel etc as well which may affect how much you would owe.

That's usually an amount that has actually been refunded to you already for some reason. The most common reason for this is where a payment has been made into the wrong account ie you have made a partner's payment into your account and this has then been transferred to their account. If the IVA comp...

depending on the IP they may have a minimum amount, for some it is as low as £50 - but I do know some set it as high as £150. If one says you don't have enough surplus then try another - they may be willing to take on a client with a lower surplus. Other than that it will simply be what you have lef...

It's a reasonable offer that the IP should be able to put forward for you. However, bearing in mind your payment history and the fact you have actually paid additional income you should be prepared for the likelihood of it being rejected as the creditors will ultimately choose to go with the option ...

btw the payplan IPs are John Neil Harrison and Kenneth Marland. Won't help you though, the switchboard just won't put client's through to them. If you are not happy with your case officer's response then ask to speak to a team leader.

Not how it works at payplan urbanfox, the case officers prepare your query for you and take it to the IP to speak on your behalf if it is something he needs to answer. If it's just something you are not happy with then it goes to the compliance team. The IPs just don't speak to clients, nothing will...
