Thanks Waitingforship! It felt a long way away at times and the IVA was often tough. I'm glad I stuck it out as I'm now able to look to the future without being held back by my historical debt.

B****r me, time flies...! The defaults have all gone, the IVA has come off and the credit files are scrubbing up beautifully: https://i.imgur.com/LnRVh5j.jpg I don't think I've ever had a perfect score before! My Equifax one looks similar and I'll be checking Noddle when it updates in a couple of we...

I started my IVA journey around this time in 2011; the time really has flown by. After completing my IVA early in October 2015, I've been focusing on making sure I'm in a good position to be able to remortgage onto a more sensible rate when the defaults and IVA drop off in September this year. It's ...

Looks great and I'm glad no silly 'like' button that I can see... If you 'like' something, take a few seconds to type a post; we have a wonderful language, it's a shame not to use it and reduce things to a single button click which means nothing. New forum looks especially good on mobile; the old on...

I thought the same when I got mine; it looks pretty underwhelming given its significance!

Congratulations on completing your IVA!

It's been a little while since I posted here, apologies for being away for a while. Sometimes it's nice not to think about my IVA and enjoy the fact it's over. Anyway, it's been about a year since I had my offer accepted and my IVA was closed down and I felt an update and some words of encouragement...

Hi John, I'm in the same boat as you; settled my IVA back in October last year and now the wait for the 6th year to tick past... I looked into whether I could do anything to improve my position (rather than look back in future and wish I'd done something earlier). Following advice on here I spoke to...

You have to be firm with CF. I was one of the PJGers who got flogged on and CF did try it on on a number of occasions. I think it's entirely wrong that they state that 'no response' will be deemed to be acceptance of terms/changes and I'm not sure it would stand up legally. CF are NOT allowed to req...

Foggy is spot on. Mine dipped 20 points the month I took out the card (I got a Luma card by Capital One) but jumped back up by 40 the following month.

Capital One do a 'hard' search by the way. I know this because I was accepted for a 'Luma' card (which is Capital One). I gave my credit files a moment to settle down and clear up a bit, my Luma card has a £1500 limit from the word go. I've been putting small amounts on and clearing it off in full e...

A word of advice; don't wait to correct the credit files (and check all three - Noddle (free, shows Callcredit file), Clearscore (free, shows Equifax) and Experian. Experian is the only one which doesn't have a free way to access and their statutory report is, I feel, deliberately difficult to read/...
