hi all,house has sold .we have approx 35k to offer f&f to dfd.our f&f settlement figure is 53k[ins all fees etc] is this likely to be accepted do you think?they would have only ot 21k if iva continued to end.thanks guys xx

i only wish now that i had sold our house 3 yrs ago and settled our debts as it seems we have simply thrown money down the drain to dfd by way of fees.we have total debts[inc dfd fees ] of 58k.will it be likely that a f&f settlement of 35k will be accepted.the original proposal meant a return of 21k...

we have now accepted an offer on our house so are now awaiting a f&f settlement statement from dfd.im just a bit peeved that dfd are charging us nearly 8 k in fees.we have paid 8.5 k into iva which started 3 yrs ago but have only just paid dfds fees off...its barely touched our actual debt!!!

well the estate agents are coming out tomorow to value the house and we have put in our claim forms for benefits we are entitled to.now we are just wondering how long it will be before we have any more money coming in.we have one weeks wages that has to last us till then....so all unneccessary direc...

and just to add with xmas fast approaching and our new baby due in less than 9 wks its gonna be a stressful time...funny thing is though i feel so relieved,i think its cos we have made a decision on what to do and there is light at the end of the tunnel.

also sorry for all the questions but if we decided to sell,would the iva company put a hold on payments until we sold or do we continue paying then offer a settlement figure when we have the funds from the sale.thankyou

our total debts with debt free direct is £58,120.83.we have been paying into the iva now for 3 yrs in november.total equity in our 50% share is approx £40-45k.the housing association will not allow for remortgage to end iva early.should we stuggle on for another 3 yrs or go bankrupt.we really do not...
