Thank you all so much, but you know I can still vividly remember the day I started my IVA; as I signed the paperwork tears were streaming down my face, and when all was done I had to rush to the loo to be sick - I was an absolute wreck. I still recall the tough times (and there were many) but I have...

Today I received a letter which read: "We are pleased to tell you that your IVA is now complete and that your creditors have been satisfied. A completion certificate is attached". I know this was confirmed back on March 4th, but have been waiting a long, long time for this day, cos it really is offi...

I love every one of mine and have never lived in an animal free zone; I am just delighted to say that in the past 4.5 years they have never gone without (hubby and I have), and I really believe that without them I would not have fought so hard to keep our home; the the prospect of re-homing was a no...

Yes greyhounds do! My neighbour has just rescued a one and she (Lola) is lovely - mind you, she is not to be trusted with small dogs (i.e mine!) or cats - yet. Don't know which part of the country you are, but google a resuce centre called 'Many Tears' - but have a hankie handy! I am not in West Mid...

We have 4 dogs (a Cocker Spaniel (10), 2 x Lhasa Apsos (5 and 7) and a Cairn Terrier 11 months) and 11 cats: all 15 are rescued, and God only knows how we have survived the past 4.5 years - but we have!!!

Ditto Barbara During my IVA in 2005 I almost lost my 78-yr old mother to a hit and run car accident; she spent 10-days is ICU on life support following neuro surgery to release a massive blood clot on her brain and when faced with that sort of episode in your life (including the extortionate NHS car...

I am not 'showing-off' but I have just recently (4 March) completed my IVA journey and am at last breathing a sign of relief - although I must stress that back in August last year it could have all gone horribly wrong for me and without this forum I dread to think where I would be now. Apart from be...

Hi Everybody, and thank you so much for all your good wishes - have the hangover from hell today but, as Andy has suggested, will definately be leaving feedback about this forum on the feedback link; I cannot stress enough that without this forum I would not be in the position I am today, the advice...

Hi Isis, and thank-you - my circumstances were that back in August my Ip asked me for either £20k or my home would be in jeapordy; I then found this website and the rest is history. Without the support and knowledge of this I could have been homeless. I am proof that there is light at the end of the...

I do not want my experience to go to waste and I will never forget this (obviously) which is why I will continue to check this forum on a regular basis in the hope that I can help others who are now where I have been.

Update: just to let you know - my proposal has been accepted! Without the advice and support of this website, and in-particular Melanie, I could have lost my house ... I am a bit overwhelmed at the moment (crying) but cannot thank you ALL enough. For those of you still finding problems, I am living ...

The original debt was £22k and I am in year 4 of the arrangement, this means I have already paid in over £10k. The original amount expected by my debtors was £13,800 - the £3k would bring it to this amount. However, the complication was/is that I was supposed to remortgage my property in year 4 (Aug...
