Yeah, all we want us a bog-standard basic account and we have a Barclays really close by to us, so we're trying them. I did wonder whether IVA (completed last year) would be an issue, so reading MerlinL14s post has eased my fretting a bit! It was the strangest thing when I read the letter from STB, ...

Afternoon everyone! We got our letters from Secure Trust Bank this week and we're gutted! Such a great bank, customer service people have so much understanding and compassion, there's no way we would have changed banks, but we have to! Friends of mine were horrified to learn that we banked with them...

Ahhh, that is good news, foreverbroke! Back in December, when I had the phonecall to sort the variation for creditors to accept payments to date, the lady I spoke to said I had £180.00ish for the stat interest coming to me. Nice if it happens, eh?

Hi Sharon :O) That seems a bit odd for you to get the letter, beens as you have your CC! I would have thought they would have no reason to get in touch with you! Did you get your certificate even though the PPI hadn't been sorted?

Hi lifenoteasy :O) At the very bottom of the letter, in tiny print, it says that EIC is a trading name of Consumer Advisor Services Ltd. The registered office is Canterbury, Kent. It also says that if you have an existing complaint with EIC and remain dissatisfied with their response or you haven't ...

Afternoon everyone! I also got the letter from GT, and am unable to send them any info, as every letter I had regarding PPI was sent straight to EIC! However, on Saturday, a letter arrived from EIC, dated 11th February, stating 'I write to inform you that Consumer Advisor Services Ltd has aquired Ex...

Thanks everyone for all of your lovely replies and best wishes! The IVA has been such a big part of our lives, we're still coming to terms with it being over! Spencer23, my mind is a fuzz at the moment, and I can't work out exactly how many months we paid in! We had a twelve-month payment break when...

Evening everyone. Firstly, I'd like to thank you all, as the information I've found on here while lurking has given me advice and support, even though I wasn't a registered user! I feel like I know you all, and I just wish I'd found this place back in 2009! My partner lost his job last August and we...
