<t>Hi all, haven’t been on here in a while just after a bit of advice.<br/> <br/> I finished my IVA in 2016, then last year just before the deadline, I asked about PPI on one of my old creditors accounts. I didn’t have PPI on the account, but it appears to have money in it paid in from the iVA which...

hi our IVA's finished October 2015, with CC received May 2016. My mother in law, when she found out about us getting the IVA, took my husband out of her will early on as she didn't want her money to be swallowed up by our debts. She sadly died in mid 2015 just before the IVA finished. We have just f...

I think different companies have different procedures. We didn't have to supply any documents at the end of the I, but I know other people have had to.

Speak to your ip if you're struggling, they may be able use their discretion to reduce your payments a little, ours did when we had a tough year

We got one yesterday from the Consumer Information Office, if you Google it it takes you to trading standards but if you go directly to the website (www.consumerinformationoffice.co.uk) it is obviously an ambulance chasing company.

We paid a local estate agent and told them why we needed a lower (but realistic) valuation, we were only just over. The £5k threshold. An average was then done with their price and ours. I think it was about £50/£60, but it did save us an extra years payments so money well spent as far as I'm concer...

We never had insurance cancelled but we did struggle to get a good deal which would allow monthly payments. Over the course of the IVA we have been insured by Swinton, insure the box and current insurer is Hastings. They all gave monthly payments with no problem.

Ours aren't even on headed paper and the signature is a computer print out! But it's got all the right words on it and that's all that matters to us. Well done

I swapped to a better mortgage deal with the same lender while in the IVA. I looked at my lenders website as we will probably need to remortgage in the future and one of the first questions is 'have you ever been in an iva' so I guess we won't be staying with them!

Exactly the same thing happened to us. We were transferred from PDHL to knightsbridge just after our final payment and it's taken just over 6 months to get the certificate.
