Does anyone know how long it would take for an offer to be accepted? I'm with cleardebt of that helps, they did say they give creditors 28 days to respond so do you think it would any longer than a couple of months?

Yeah I think I will follow both your advices and wait until the offer is accepted before I ask my mum to pay it. I don't think she would hand it over before hand anyways lol

Thanks, Foggy. Going to get the ball rolling when the goodwill gesture arrives in my bank account. I do have a query though, if an offer of 2000 pounds is made do they ask for the money immediately or would they ask for it if the creditor go for it? I only ask because if that's the case and I still ...

Oh does it, I suppose it all helps really, if it takes two months to go through then really they'd be getting nearly all of the money actually left on the iva!
God I hope it goes through, hasn't even been offered yet but my god I'm gonna feel so happy if it does!

Yes I'm in agreement with you there, Foggy. I want to get my credit rating to a decent standing again. We're trying to move and have been told 5 times now that the landlords won't take a gamble on me as I'm in an iva. If I can get it completed and can show them the completion certificate I might be ...

Oh really? so to go completely off topic here even though a full and final settlement has gone through you'd still have to wait the full 6 years until everything is wiped so to speak? Would you be able to have rebuild your credit rating during that time? Thanks for the link Foggy, very informative r...

Sorry to high jack this thread but if a full and final settlement goes through 20 months early then do these defaults come off around the same time or do they stay on there? I find this incredibly confusing :-/

Just had a thought though, do you still pay the monthly contributions even though the settlement offer has been sent to them? My IP has gone home for the day so can't ask them lol.

I've just phoned my IP. They said 1500 might not be accepted so I threw the 500 pounds good will gesture onto the table and they said that would probably be okay as a full and final settlement. Actually shaking a little bit, really hope this goes through!!!
