Thanks for your replies, once we have made our last payment but before having our CC could we both apply for a specialist credit cards to help build up are credit scores, it would only be used for petrol and them paid off at the end of each month?

Dear all,
if I was given a lump sum of money after our last payment but before the CC came through, for home improvements, could this be classed as windfall which could be taken away from us?

Sorry for a later update, The person at the call center wasn't sure about this so she had to pass it onto an IP, we were told we would have an answer within 5 days, 3 days later we were told it wasn't a problem and to go ahead and order the new car.

Thanks, it is a real good scheme and we real need to change our car as we haven't had spare cash to keep on top of the old one, was hoping sign up to it after making our last payment, but didn't know if we should tell DFD.
