I kept getting stuff through the mail from Virgin - the deal looked so much cheaper for phone / tv/ broadband. i gave them a ring and said that i was in an IVA - the lady i spoke to said that they would probably ask for a deposit of about £150 in that case - Post Office may do the same if you ask them

As i understand it, you can hand back the car once the half has been paid - providing the account is not in arrears - if it is you are liabile to pay the arrears as well as handing the car back. If a finance company repossesses your car when you have paid over a third and they do not have a court or...

Thanks for your reply, i've read the terms and conditions and it says that they need a court order if i've paid over a third - but somebody recently told me that if i'm bankrupt they dont need a court order

It was an antique emerald and diamond ring in a rectangle setting (18ct) - the only place i'm going to find something the same is a pawnbrokers or antique fair / or even one of those police auctions

The insurance company paid me the £10 and are trying to replace the ring "l...

I do agree - honesty is definately the best policy, i decided against it as my partner is "financially comfortable", and i didnt want him to think i was with him for his money!!!

That depends on wether you have any shared debts / mortgage / joint tenancy agreement or just live together
I've been in my IVA for almost 12 months, my partner has no link to my debts and we do not live together and he has absolutely no idea i'm in an IVA

I think this is pretty standard with a HP agreement, if you go BR - they will in 95% of cases just take the vehicle back, in an IVA they are likely to allow you to keep the vehicle on condition that you pay all your contractural instalments on time and they do have the right to repo if you default w...
