My 3 cats cost more per month than me and my husband do. Because of the various health conditions they can't have "cheap" cat food. We are supposed to feed them prescription food, but they hated it, so the vet has compromised with Whiskas Senior food cos it has more nutrients in it. Added to that ar...

But how would that effect people like me, who had not other choice? Sorry if I'm being dumb here. I couldn't get an iva, or bankruptcy, admitedly because of personal circumstances, but my DMP is going to run for at least the next 10 years. I can just see a situation arising where people can't get an...

I once had to claim incapacity benefit, and like you, told the benefits agency when I had been accepted for a new job. I completed the forms and sent them off. 2 weeks later, I checked my account and they'd paid me again. So I called them, and they said they never recieved the form. So this time I w...

Just to pick up on something said earlier, we have just started our application process for a permenant visa and have been told that the only restriction is that we have to physically be in Australia for 2 out of the 5 years. Nothing about having to go there within 9 months. Maybe it's changed? Who ...

There probably is cheaper insurance out there, but you'd lose cover for anything you've claimed for in the past.
One of the things we're dreading about moving to Oz is that Petplan won't cover them outside of the UK and we'll never be able to insure them again. Doh!

My vet's been lovely with me. He know's about our financial situation, and claims from Pet Plan direct. Problems now that Rocky's excess is £90 + 25% of any bill and Pepsi's is £90. Gotta take Pixie in this weekend to get a lump checked out and his excess is £90 + 25%. Don't get me wrong. Insurance ...

Hi Shell Sorry about that mate. I'm having a bit of a rough time of it at the moment, and keep forgetting to do things. I'll hopefully be online at home over the next few days, so will do my best to remember to send you my e-mail address. Or perhaps Admin can let you have my address if they read thi...

Not sure this counts, but heho[:D]
I haven't been dieting or working out, for reasons previously explained, but have lost 1.5lbs due to prescription drug side effects.
Hey, it's a loss. I'm not complaining[:D][:D][:D][:D]

I forgot to say... Keep a record of all conversations you have at work about this, and the names of anyone included or even anyone who overhears, try and get it in writing from them that they are intending to do it, and above all, do not feel that you HAVE to sign this new contract. You don't. Try t...

I know it's difficult mate, but try to calm down. Something I say to my husband all the time is, if there's nothing you can do about it why use up all that energy being angry about it. I know it's a blow and you can't afford it. But things have a way of working themselves out. They really do mate. Y...

Oh, mate that is soooo wrong. The company I work for provide software so that IFA's can sell mortgages and insurances. And I used to work for a company that did software for the motor insurance industry. I don't have contact with the customers, but if I was of the illegal and dodgy type, I could get...

It's a sad fact of todays life that there are these gits out there who feel that the only way to have fun is to make other lives a misery. Personally, if I was in charge of law and order and could decide on punishments for these b******s, I'd take their property and make them watch while it was crus...

I know it's difficult, but try not to stress too much about it. If for any reason the IVA doesn't get accepted there are options open to you. I have debts of over 30 grand and have a DMP in place where I'm paying back £315 per month. It will take me long than and IVA would have, and I have to pay al...
