Hi all Just wanted to keep you in the loop that we're still waiting to hear something, we've not even got to the point of a variation meeting being called as they're still reviewing the offer (so i'm being told) as to whether its likely to be accepted. We're both beginning to lose hope on this and t...

It should not take that long once they have all of the information. We generally do ours within a week, as we know that once a client has made their mind up that they want to make an offer, then it is in everyone's interests to put that in front of creditors as soon as possible. Hi Melanie I'm actu...

Hi all I was just wondering if anyone can explain how long it takes (approx/on average) to go from initial offer to a variation meeting being called? I initially contacted IP with details of f&f offer on 07/08 and since then they've gradually asked for other things like latest payslips, new i&e comp...

Hey
If it makes you feel at ease at all, when I moved into my new place just over a year ago (when we were 3 years nearly into IVA) we took out a virgin media bundle deal as it was also cheaper, it was referred and came back fine. Can't remember how long the process took though.

I don't know if i'm being impatient but I sent everything through to my IP/IVA Company on 7th August and they're still reviewing the offer and as far as I know, a variation meeting has not been scheduled yet. Is this normal?

I was replying to Hippo previously, sorry!! No worries [:D] thanks I really hope it g...

Kitkat - yes it is in response to Hippo question - and yes it does cost money to set up/run a meeting to propose a F+F settlement - which the creditors pay in lower dividents By all mean if you life events has changed - birth/death/marrage /redundancy - this will have an effect, and as said before,...

If you are that close to the end there isn't much point - it takes a while to set up a meeting so you may well have finished or as good as, by the time it was approved. If you let it run the full course you wouldn't have to pay back a family member either and would be truly debt free! Is this respo...

We do have an amazing IP, Melanie has done such great things for us and has really helped us through what was initially a very worrying time. Tell me about it, I really can't believe its been that long. We dreamed about getting to 4 years and here we almost are! I can't believe that hopefully in a m...

Hi Tina, thanks for the quick reply...strangely enough you were one of the first people I spoke to about getting an IVA! time does indeed fly.
Thats good to hear, I assume that if the creditors would accept a slightly higher amount they'd say instead of just giving a straight no?
