Been following this forum from 2016 when hubby and I first took out the IVA and the forum has been such an amazing support. With the help of my mum, we made an offer to pay the remaining payments off a year early in 1 lump sum and it was accepted. Iva was extended to 6 years as we renewed a car leas...

We have just received a notice from Tax Credits that we owe them £2700 in overpayment. I started employment in February 2016 and my little boy then went into nursery so we applied for child tax credits. My hubbie rang them up in February 2016 to advise of the additional income and childcare. However...

<t>Hi, I'm currently in an IVA and in a Peugeot car contract. I need to renew my contract with Peugeot as my mileage is at its limit on the Just Add Fuel deal. Will I get turned down for a new contract with them? I've kept up my payments and never been in breach. If I can't renew my contract and tak...

Hiya, will children's bank accounts be affected by our IVA? I've just opened a bank account for my two young children, the bank is not one of our creditors. They often get Christmas and birthday cheques in their name so that's what the bank account is for. As they're underage and we as the parents w...

I need to renew my contract because my mileage is at its limit but I will fail the credit check. That means I will have to hand the car back and pay for the balance of the value of the car which I cannot afford. What to do?

Thank you all for your advice. I will try Nationwide. Yes I was really surprised at the Co-ops decision, it didn't make sense.

Hiya We were really silly and did not open a new bank account for our small children when we closed bank accounts and opened new ones for us before the IVA started. Family members have sent cheques to my boys for birthday and Christmas and we can't cash them. Need to deposit them into their bank acc...

Thank you all for your kind advice. Feel certain I have made the right decision. Just one question please, we're moving into a new home (renting) at the end of October. We have been credit checked and all ok but we won't sign the lease until the day we get the keys, the day we move in. Am I ok to si...
