applied for a Vanquis card a month after my IVA completed and set up a DD to pay the full amount each month.. used it for about 10 months then applied for a Amazon Mastercard and when accepted cancelled the Vanquis.. so yes its very good for getting your credit building started!

yep but in time it slowly recovers.. 8 yrs on from my iva and my credit score is now a glowing 5 out of 5. takes a while to build it back up but you are not black listed for life! i started off by using getting a Vanquis card paying it off in full each month and going on from there.

the way i started to rebuild my credit rating after my IVA was by applying for a Vanquis card. the chances of getting one are quite good even if your credit rating is not. just remember when accepted to set up a Direct Debit to pay the full amount each month (to avoid their sky high APR!) and declin...

any letters demanding money which you receive while in your IVA should be forwarded directly to your IP to deal with. i had a few while in my IVA and just sent them off to Payplan straight away. some companies just do not update their records properly i think!

the key to having a Vanquis card is to use them rather then let them use you. just ensure that you set up a DD to pay off the full balance each month then they don't get a penny from you. you will then improve your credit rating from using it. i had one for a while before getting a mainstream credit...

I would recommend trying for a Vanquis card as your first credit card and then paying it off in full every month so you don't pay their sky high interest charges. That's what i did after i completed my IVA and then after 6 months or so applied for the Amazon Mastercard online and got accepted straig...

missed payments are usually permitted to purchase essential items like say a new cooker or fridge or urgent car repairs. if its needed just to boost your income maybe your I&E does not a review though. missed payments are then just added onto the end of your agreement. i missed about 7 of them durin...
