I would definately query taking the DLA off you, its not your income its your childs.
The payment may go to you as his mother but the NI number is your childs and when DHSS write to you they address you as the carer not the receipient.

Skippy - 3 weeks after my IVA was completed I had a letter from Tesco personal finance asking if I wanted a loan - had'nt they had enough of my debt to write off first time round was my thought as I chucked it in the bin.
I do get a lot of loan offers from Provident and other nasty lenders now too

Andrea Do you get any DLA benefits for your son, if you do these must be kept separate and not included as part of your income. My youngest son is registered disabled and we get middle rate DLA for him at £166.60 every 4 weeks, this was not included in the proposal as income as it is for his persona...
