Thanks for everyone's replies. If it wasnt for advice that I received on this forum I would have made a critical mistake and accepted the decision. Thanks to Melanie I have got a second opinion. I went back to my IVA company and the person I spoke to yesterday apologised as he said that he made mist...

Melanie - when you say get a second opinion regarding my proposal - do you mean revisit this with my IP or discuss it with another IP in another company?

Thanks Melanie. My IP said that if they go back with revised I & E that the creditors will want to know why we didnt offer a higher return in the first place. He said creditors totally £62k voted no and whilst only vague reasons were given, it was def due to high I & E. I was worried about this a wh...

I feel that my IP should have been aware of this - as reading the posts on here it seemed that the creditors would view the I & E to be excessive (it was correct though). I was saying to my other half just a week ago I feared this to be the case. I am where I am - and will need to deal with the late...

Does anyone know why my main creditor has told my brother that they have declared him bankrupt?

Creditors meeting today - total amount owed was £85k, immediately offering 30p in £, but with pay rises and bonuses this would have been 70p during the course. My IP informed me that 90% of creditors voted no. My brother has just called me about 5 minutes ago - his credit cards got frozen over the w...

the creditors meeting is set for a particular date and you get the 75% vote, but a creditor subsequently says that they didnt receive any notification from the IP regarding the meeting date - can the approval be reversed?

(put posts mistakenly in sept's postbag - so copying and pasting here) in a week and a half. Total debt around £85k, no northern rock or black horse. Am proposing to pay around £600 a month with substantial pay rises and bonuses very much making overall return around 70p in £. Am very nervous about ...
