I was on an IVA and had a F&F settled a year later. This was now settled 16 months ago but i still have two defaults on my credit file. Experian told me that if i faxed my completion statement to Egg & Natwest then they could do a rapid update on my credit file and they should then show as settled. ...

I disagree your IP will not take all of your pay rise as that would take away all your incentives etc. Surely a bonus would be treated exactly the same as a pay rise, so they would take the same proportion?

What you could try is to get someone to lend you the money for a full and final, that way you will end up paying much less. some iva's will take half of any pay rise you get, some will take more. you don't want to end up paying more than you originally owed that would be crazy.

Thanks Viki. Under the section with bankruptcy & IVA it has nothing at all, maybe i've been lucky and should keep quiet about it! I did hear somewhere that the IVA stays on your file for a year from when you have settled the balance. Not that i want to get into my old wicked ways of borrowing again!...

Hi, I started an IVA in early 2007 and had a F&F accepted 5 months ago. The IVA is not even mentioned on my credit report but a couple of my old debts are. I am a little confused to say the least! can anyboy explain? thanks

Hi, I've been in an IVA for a few months now but i wish i went bankrupt, as i have no assets and none of the debt is student loans or child support. I am getting a pay rise in a few months and this will be backdated for the last 3 years. I think i will have to give half of the lump sum to the IVA pl...
