Before coming to terms with financial reality we used to shop at different places and get our full shopping there on whatever took our fancy. Since having to budget we have started using a local fruit and veg shop which is very good and surprisingly cheaper. Our meat we buy once every couple of mont...

It is very sad that for some people this looks like the only way out for them, in this case it appears he only had 1 year left for it to go. My IVA is not yet set up (creditors meeting 3rd August) but from what I have experienced from Mercers up to now I am actually surprised that it does not happen...

If you have received an extra £200 as overtime in one month then you keep the first £100 then the other £100 is split...

I opened my account, following reading advice on here, before taking the steps to apply for an IVA. From what I see the actual rental income is £550 less 13% fees, which comes to £550 less £71.50 getting ££478.50.

The new rent they will be paying is £560 so the difference in I&E will be £560 less £478.50 which is £81.50.

Currently going through the application stage for an IVA, they have all the things requested apart from a house valuation (waiting for the local estate agent to get back in touch). I currently own a motorbike and a car, the bike being my favourite mode of transport with the car just used in winter a...

I wonder what excuses some of the do gooders will have for people that deliberately damage others vehicles and property. My car, as well as half a dozen others was keyed a couple of weeks ago, the car is an old one so not too concerned about respaying it but another one done was a nice black Jag. A ...

We discussed the DMP option but it would take 13 year to repay if the creditors froze all interest charges.
It looked like the IVA was the best option available.
