If you were to come into money it would fall under the windfall clause and would have to be paid into your IVA. If this then means you have paid your original debt amount plus fees and possibly statutary interest then you will get back whats left. A lump sum can be offered to clear the IVA but it wo...

Try and talk to more then just the one and also discuss other options DMP, Bankruptcy etc. None of the solutions are easy, most on here, like myself, have gone through or going through IVA's. Your credit rating is shot for 6 year from the start of the IVA and you are not allowed to take more credit ...

I was with Stepchange myself and had no problems with them, they helped with the expenditure allowances adjusting them if I got pay rises and when my car failed and I needed to find a way of buying another one but they only have one IP so you may never get to speak to them direct and there are also ...

No its not normal ... stay clear of any IVA Company that tries to get you to waiver your cooling off period and be wary of those wanting the first period in advance. My first payment was just under a month after my IVA started as this was the best date for when I got paid. Look for advice from other...

I am in complete agreement with Foggy.... NO ONE ... is given Third Party Rights to access my bank account. The security of it is between myself and my Bank only .. no one else is or should be involved in that security or access. If they want copies off Bank Statements then OK, that can and shoud be...

Unfortunately for me I had to replace my car around 3 months before the end of my IVA which I managed to do with the agreement of Stepchange and with the only lender tat would deal with someone in an IVA at an interest rate of 49% In Oct I changed my car again, just over two year since the end on my...

The noly difference I can see is that your IVA will not be extended by an extra 12 months to cover lieu of equity in your property if you owned it.

I was with Stepchange myself in an IV which ended nearly thre years ago. I remember it taking around 3 weeks or so for the IVA to be setup and just ignored most of the phone calls and those that I answered I just told them I was in an IVA and give them Stepchanges details. Stepchange only have one I...

Hi folks I got my IVA agreed in August over 6 years. The financials are noted below. Does this seem right? I am at risk of my hours at work being dropped to a zero hour contract meaning I’d have to find a new position possibly on less money. I contacted my IP and to be honest I think they’ve been r...

I cannot find any sign of that company with the Government Companies House.

If it was myself I would avoid them, especially as there has been a post on here about them a couple of years ago cold calling someone already in an IVA.

Stick in there Flapjack, it is something that is a load of ups and downs, as I found out myself BUT there is light at the end of the tunnel. I was lucky not to have any equity in my property so mine lasted 5 year not 6 so had to wait 12 months after the end for it all to disappear from my credit rec...
