Absolutely! They are a truly evil company. The ironic thing is that if they'd sent me a letter telling me to whistle for the money i'd already given them for their 'trouble' I probably would have given up, but now they've insulted my intelligence with this insane 'bill' i'll fight them all the way. ...

Thanks Melanie,

I take it from the frustrated tone of your e-mail that this is something we are within our rights to contest and have a good chance of telling Synergie where to stick their insane bill!? I would actually rather go to prison than pay it!

Hi Andy, Yes I am sure a DMP is the best way forward, you may vaguely remember advising me a few weeks ago, I got a new job with a substantial pay increase. Synergi have sent us a 'breakdown' of the costs, but it is insane, it would be funny if I wasn't so stressed about it; the breakdown includes h...

Hello, Me and my partner embarked on an IVA having recieved (what turned out to be) bad advice from debts.co.uk who forwarded our case onto Synergi. Following months of little contact save for the occasional request from them for a bank statement or a bill here and there, it was only when a debt col...

Hi, Thanks thats really helpful advice. Just one more thing, where do we stand with the money we have already paid to Synergi? We have paid nearly £1000 which we were initially told was for our creditors but, following us querying this, they told us it was actually being 'held' in an account for our...

Hi, No of course, ill work it out tonight and get back to you, but what i'm trying to get at is is there a maximum they can take each month? Obviously I realise that my monthly repayments will increase now i'll be earning more money, but will they still take every spare penny of disposable income I ...

Hi Andy, Apologies I know you are buzy and realise there are alot of people on here worse off than me, the only reason I am in such a rush is because I spoke to a debt charity last night who I was hoping would be a better option than an IVA; after speaking to them we reluctantly decided that the IVA...

Hi, Yes I am a homeowner but I already have a secured loan against my property if that is what you were going to suggest. My proposed IVA is joint with my girlfriend who lives with me, our unsecured debt for the purposes of the IVA amounts to about 30k and our joint income will now be over 60k per a...

Hi, I am in the final stages of my IVA proposal and my creditors meeting is imminent, although I have no date. Today I found out that I have got a new job and will be earning 15 - 20k more than when I began my proposal. Should I still proceed with the IVA and if I do will the creditors simply grab a...

Hi, Thanks so much for your advice. Since this morning something new has come up, I've just been offered a new job, my new salary is significantly higher. Will the creditors just take ALL my new income, leaving me with the same disposeable income as I would have had with my current salary, or will I...

Hi everybody, Hope someone can give me some advice and possibly put my mind at rest. Our creditors meeting has not taken place yet but I would imagine is just a few weeks away, however, we have been paying a set figure to Synergi for the last few months on the premise that it will look good to our c...
