Hi Linrog, I don't understand your reply. My final payments include an additional year in lieu of not being able to remortgage. If my equity were then paid into the IVA it would have been taken into account twice, which surely is not correct. As I will have no income after the final payment other th...

The final 3 payments are the 12 months additional, added to the IVA in lieu of not remortgaging. Therefore can the Practitioner take any more of the equity if I sell? The IVA has been running since May 2010 and seems never ending. I want to finish it but do not want to jeopardise it at the final hur...

But my job goes at the end of august. I will be able to complete the payments but can't then afford my mortgage. Can I put the house up for sale once the final payment is made, or do I have to wait. I need to move as I need sheltered accommodation having had two strokes at the start of the year. Is ...

Hi Everyone, Have today been in touch with Grant Thornton but it seems that all we can do is borrow the money to make a full and final settlement. My sister has said that she can do this for us. Can anyone give an idea on how much we should offer, all we have left to pay is four months at £1238.00 a...

Thank you everyone for your replies, I wish I had joined a forum some years ago. I am today going to speak to Grant Thornton to see if I can speak to someone who can give me sensible answers. I was under the impression that we would have a case manager but GT say this is not so. Is this the usual pr...

We really need some help to get answers to several questions. Our IVA comes to an end in September after seven and a half long years, paying initially £1400.00 per month and this last year £1200.00 per month in place of a re.mortgage. We now have the situation that my husband has recently had two st...
