certificate of completion received, a great weight lifted. Thank you to all on this site, the advice and support I've had over the past few years has been invaluable. To all those still on the journey, trust me its worth it. The seemingly impossible decisions, and the times it seems like it'll never ...

and thanks RHB, that really is the aim. We've never owned our own property and our dream is to do so. Getting our credit rating to the point where a mortgage is possible is what we want to achieve - appreciate it might take a few years post IVA though!

Thanks Lesley, thats useful. Already pay utilities by dd so hopefully that'll help, though mobi's on pay as you go, so may need to look at that. What confuses me is how you get a mobi contract or credit card in the first place with a poor credit rating... surely they'd just decline?

Hi all, Also with DFD (having been transferred from another company. Since DFD have held my case, I've always had to ask for a copy of the annual report, but have then received it promptly. They've been very efficient in every other respect and I can't fault the review process itself which has consi...

Think of Melanie, think of Wales, screen out the rugby, the rain and the mountains and focus only on the sheep, endless sheep, sheep standing, sheep running, sheep jumping and sheep conveniently passing through a narrow gate at the end of your bed where they can easilly be counted.... keep counting ...

Hi Stewart, That's about 10k less than we started at, and the IVA option is certainly working for us if that helps at all. As above, seek a range of advice direct from IP's and assess the best options for your circumstances. Best of luck, and let us know how you get on. Martin 45 down, 15 to go!!!

Hi Chris, and well played for having the guts to ask for help. The advice so far is spot on - speak to an IP, not an IVA company rep, but an IP themselves. Have as much detail to hand as you can and you'll get good clear advice on your options. You could do a great deal worse than starting off makin...

Thanks comps... I did read that in the policy schedule, but not taking my own advice, assumed that was common to most and didn't shop around. In fairness, Tesco have been prompt in settling to largish claims this year, but I might well take a look at other policy options when its due for renewal in ...
