My wife and I received our certificates of completion this morning, I can't quite believe it's all over! Our IVA has put a huge strain on our family and our relationship but was a process that we needed to go through. We will never fall into habits of old again and feel educated now. Our IP, Sue Cla...

Thanks for the responses. I'll speak to the IP about an online quote but if not then will book some visits in for next week, hoping they'll give me a written valuation.

I have to have my house valued as part of my IVA. Can anyone give me any advice on how to get written valuations from estate agents? When I applied for my IVA I ended up paying £200 to get a full valuation, I can't do that now that I'm in my 5th year!

I put my late German Shepherd in a kennel once, it was horrible and he came back with a lump on his head! I don't like using them. Sounds like there'll be a fight for them Melanie!

We're not going this year as my dad's ill so will happily look after Max and Rosie for you! We've been 4 times and love it and the children are devastated they're not going this year. We're hoping to go next Easter holidays and stay in the gite they have next to the chateau.

I will Melanie but they don't accept dogs, they've got a small holding with chickens, sheep, ducks, a cockeril and a donkey!! They're afraid that dogs may frighten the animals. It's a small chateau close to Bayeux. We call it paradise because it's so quiet and perfect to "get away from it all".

My wife and I bought a tent before entering into our IVA and we've had the best holidays ever since doing so! We've got 2 young children and have found a very selective (but reasonable!) campsite in Normandy that is absolutely brilliant and we go every summer. We save what we can throughout the year...

Thanks for all the positive posts, I really needed them today. I have been reading peoples posts about creditors meetings but nothing can prepare you for the stress and feeling of helplessness. Thanks for all your support, onward and upward now!!
