Surely a now Government backed organistation will not reject Government legislated policy in the form of IVA's? Can those whom have had their IVA's rejected solely based on Northern Rock's refusal, now reapply with some degree of confidence?

Wow Melanie, didn't expect anyone to be up this late? Do you guys operate a night shift? Being 33, I guess that rules out that option! Cheers, Mike.

Hi - Just out of interest, I currently have a private company pension scheme, the company pays in 3%, I do not make any personal contributions (which I am unable to do whilst in IVA in any case). The scheme currently holds over £20k, does anybody have experience of being able to release funds if nec...

Have They? It was a farce and quite laughable! Our local dish in the midlands is faggots & peas, so as you can imagine it caused a little confusion.

I received lots of call, at home, at work, via my mobile - creditors were in general appeased if you could provide an IVA meeting date, the name of the company dealing with your case, contact name and case reference. Apart from the odd one or two the calls stopped or were postponed for several days....

Many thanks optimist12, I anticipate finances will be tight for the duration of the term, but considering the alternatives (i.e. DMP or Bankruptcy), it's still a far more viable option. Caraf, you will be naturally aprehensive, but I think you are in good hands with CS, overall, despite the delays, ...

Melanie, the draft proposal was not submitted, instead it was revised following a meeting with the accountant. The confusion here is I receive additional self-employed income to that of my paid salary, it was the self-employed income that was exaggerated. The income figures were shown to the credito...

In fairness, the reduction was only made following a discussion with my accountant whom had stated that my income was exaggerated, so I can't be sure this was a purposeful tactic employed by CS, and I agree, this would only serve to increase the mistrust between IVA firms and creditors. Either way, ...

Hi caraf, I can't be sure what the final fees are (at this stage), but CS have reduced them at the request of the creditors.

The increase appears high, but what needs to be made clear is the proposal was in fact over £400 less than the original drafted proposal figure, not only to make it more affordable, but to leave scope for any anticipated increase. In hindsight I realise CS have employed a clever tactic, even though ...
