I have recently completed my IVA through a F&F settlement. I would now like to open a joint bank account with my partner for household bills. In the past I have been unable to, due to my IVA. I am aware the IVA is still on my credit history, but as it is not a current IVA, would I have a problem ope...

Thankfully my full and final was accepted.. hurrah! Although I may have to wait a while for the paperwork due to the xmas break, and I probably won't believe it until I see it in writing. But still it's a great early xmas present. Thanks to all who have given me advice and support, I couldn't have d...

I will definately let you know how it goes. Thanks for the advice, I am just a little worried, because one of the clauses in the original proposal was that a minimum dividend of 44p was required otherwise the IVA would fail. But surely they would not fail my IVA over a 4p difference? Especially as c...

My IP has detailed in the report that £750 plus VAT is to be paid for a variation fee. Is this about right? (seems expensive) without this the dividend would be 43p!

I am worried that this may not be accepted, as I have read a clause in my agreement stating that failure to repay a certain dividend to creditors will result in a failed IVA. Would my IP be able to give me the offer needed to complete the IVA based on the dividend required? Because they seem very wa...

The reason I need to end early, is because I need to find alternative accomodation. This will result in less disposable income each month, and therefore a possible reduction in my IVA contributions. Therefore my realistic contributions over the next three years are likely to be 36 x £340 = £12,240 W...

I have been offered a lump sum of £11500 from a third party to complete my IVA. I have 3 years remaining in my IVA making monthly payments of £440(36 x £440) = £15840 Would anyone be able to give me an idea if this could be acceptable from a creditors point of view, with the savings in IP fees etc.?...

I had a different IP to start with, and my case has been transfered twice to new supervisors. I did receive the modifications in writing at the start of the agreement. It was a condition that had to be met for the creditors to accept the IVA, so I really had no choice.

I spoke to my IP today, and he told me I am "stuffed". He said, it is not even possible to sound out the creditors about the proposed settlement, before arranging a variation meeting. So I am stuck in the IVA until the 24 months is up, at which time I can then put forward a settlement offer. I Don't...
