you hit the nail on the head - my main concern about a DMP is the possible phone calls, visits, even CCJ's i understand, that could be placed upon us.

Melanie - to answer your question, my preferred route would be DMP initially, whilst reducing my expenditure and then see if my partner *wants* or can go back to work after the SMP has ended. This is our first child, and we may have more. think the above is along the l...

Skippy, your post is very poignant.
Like to think that i have some faculties, but the advice I am being given is sometimes contradictory.
I'm assuming you end up with what you think is best for you - though in a few years you could rue that choice.

Question about a DMP it is mentioned in all literature that your creditors do not have to stop adding interest rate or late paymentcharges on your o/s debts. However, it seems some are more reasonable than others. Can anyone comment if they have had success under a DMP with the above with the follow...

not knocking the NHS, in any way, just that the NHS has now gone 4 different ways. Each country has its own priorities, and for Wales we have had free prescriptions - but tally that against my comments above on waiting lists. full BBC article here : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7149423.stm Rich

may well be free prescriptions in Wales, but dont get ill and need an operation. Of the four nations Wales has the 3rd longest waiting lists, with only NI longer. The average wait is 13 months for Outpatient App and then 6 months for inpatient if required. Compare that to England of max 18 week Out ...

If they are creditor funded, i could find nothing on thier websites to say which creditors.
Because of the charity status, just assumed that they where publicly/lottery funded.

This would reduce to £420 after SMP has ended and if she did not return to work. we estimate fulltime child care costs of £680 per month if sh...
