I have the misfortune to be with the truly awful Begbies Traynor. My annual review the year before last took 7 months and a IR review I requested in April this year for financial hardship took 4 months. The latter was only done after I sent a written complaint.

I've just done something very similar and it was as Foggy has stated. My payments did increase slightly and when I wrote to my IP asking for permission to lend I stated that the additional would be funded from some disposable income we had built up via (50% of) a. pay rise last year. If it helps I ...

Thanks. Making decent progress with this. Have provisional OK from IP and finance lined up through Moneybarn. Another question though, a relative has offered to pay £4K so that we can get a better car than the one we were planning to get. I know we cant receive that as a cash gift but I was thinking...

looking to replace my wifes car, we are in an interlocking IVA. The care is 8 years old and is proving troublesome. The current finance runs out in 12 months and my IVA paperwork has in that the monthly car payment will not become available as a contribution at the end of the finance as it will like...

Thanks Foggy. The review is already overdue then, my start date was 2nd October and we are beyond 2 months past that. I cant use the register to find my IP as it still has my old one listed for Middlebrooks. Any other ideas? Straight to the regulator maybe? If I dont do anything will their be conseq...

I used to be with Middlebrooks who were superb, my IVA was sold to Begbie Traynor who are of the chocolate fireguard variety. My annual review was due in October and I havent heard anything from them, despite me reminding them twice that it was due in October. Neither email reminder has been acknowl...

This is still ongoing for me. When I spoke to my IP they told me that they intended to do a full IE assessment and then use the outcome of that to assess how much of my back pay (i was told to expect to hand over all of it) that I would need to pay as well as by how much my contributions would incre...

I’ve informed my IP so will see what they say. My clause says exactly the same as above. Are you with stepchange by any chance? I can’t see anything in mine about IVA anniversary. I'm with Middlebrooks. The lady I deal with is on leave this week so I will catch up with her on Monday. There is littl...

My wife and I have both had a pay rise recently, amounts to about £150 per month between the two of us. My IP is still looking at the payslips to calculate the increased payments but has told me that the increased payments will start immediately, not at the anniversary of the IVA. I'm a little confu...

<t>I have been in a joint interlocking IVA with my wife for about 10 months now and all is going well. I want to hire a car for something in a couple of weeks time. I've checked with the hire company and they need a swipe of a credit card when I pick the car up. They will not accept my prepaid debit...

Thanks guys I do have the 10 50/50 rule for extra income. I will contact our IP on Monday and if they need extra info it shouldn't be a problem. Its an absolute blessing being with a small 'boutique' firm. It means on Monday when I ring a human being will answer the phone and I will get to have a co...

Bit of an unusual situation. My wife has been working extra hours over the last couple of years. She is a nurse and she did the work on the understanding that she would be able to take the equivalent amount of time off at a later date. Anyway - she has racked up over 100 hours of this 'time owed' an...

Its been accepted. Slightly higher payments than I submitted as Northern Rock had an issue with the I and E. Also ended up with the expected 6 year IVA (7 without equity release) again thanks to NR.
Phew - what a relief
