A little depends too on whether your son plans to keep the car that is on finance. On most car deals the finance is secured on the car and could not be included as a debt. I suspect this would be a problem in a DRO. But certainly an IVA or a Debt Management Plan are potential solutions. So much depe...

Hi Christine, plenty of IVA's are accepted at low dividends and £150/mth may well be accepted if its based on reasonable expenses and actual income. Many companies don't charge upfront fees and it makes no sense to pay them. But the pension payment does seem quite high and could represent an issue. ...

Obviously your income level is important in calculating the amount you can afford to pay back on the debts through an IVA. You can probably start an IVA at one level of payment and reduce it if your income reduces. If you know what the new salary will be (and can provide evidence in due course) then...

Very sorry to hear about the rejection. If though you can make another offer - with a significantly greater amount of money - the there is no reason not to start again with a new proposal. £600/mty must be a lot more "commercially viable" than £200/mth! The amount of equity you have will be relevant...

Hi - Zopa do accept IVA's - but seem to demand a higher dividend than many other creditors. They require 50p in £ minimum - which means that the IVA needs to deliver 50p in the £ to all creditors - as all need to be treated equally.
