I just remembered receiving one of these vouchers in the past. I wasn't expecting any post (I forgot it was coming!) and had just been seeing about those evil envelopes full of glitter you could pay to send to someone. I gingerly opened the envelope over the sink in case it was a glitter bomb

I just checked my bank (a daily habit, I am aghast when anyone says they don't check their account for weeks at a time) my IVA payment has just gone out today. I really wish at the start of the process I had made a grid box with sixty boxes on it and coloured them in as it was paid out of my bank be...

Welcome to the journey! I remember the relief I felt when I got my call, now I have less than 2yrs to go. I still very much remember going into shops counting the pennies and knowing I only had £10 on this card, £5 on that one and worrying as I got to the till and the anxiety payday used to cause me...

Are you with Lloyds by any chance? As soon as they received the paperwork about my IVA, before the creditor meeting had even been held, they froze a joint account my name was on. Chances are if you have signed your paperwork but not yet had the meeting, the bank has received it and put a flag on the...

I have upgraded twice during the lifetime of my IVA. I read somewhere that so long as you upgrade with them directly you are better placed, my network apparently only decide based on you having paid your last 3 bills on time. I also saw that places like carphone warehouse were ending contracts and s...

Just come across a link on Debt Camel yesterday around IVAs, linking to the insolvency service and a report about IVA completions - the thing that really caught my eye was the number of new cases registered in 2020, credit fix having 20,000 new IVAs, PayPlan just under 4000, StepChange just under 11...

My IVA was approved in November a couple of years ago. Same thing happened with my council tax. I paid a little bit more to Stepchange in Jan, as I didn't have my council tax to pay, then in February and March I didn't have to pay anything extra to them and was able to keep the extra cash. I was wor...

Hi Chunky, where are you in the process so far? Once I had given all my info to Stepchange and rbw proposal was being drafted / creditor meeting date set I did them write to each of the creditors detailing that I was going into an IVA, the reference they had given me for creditors and the token paym...

Is this the information gather for your proposal? If so, make sure you know how much each of your bills is and have details of other outgoings. Also have tissues, just in case! As silly as it sounds, a question about my pet insurance made me cry. It was relief, but something so silly set me off. Con...

I think I did the same in the month I made the call to get my IVA set up (Spet 2017) as I had no other way to get food that month. The following month I was told to make token payments to my debts and live under my new budget, although many on here don't pay at all between setting up and agreement. ...

I only need to give stepchange last 3 payslips, last p60 and last month bank statement at each review (just done 3rd review) Payslips usually give your year to date earnings, P60 shows total earnings in previous year, asking for all payslips seems excessive really.

I got an email last week saying it was completed, payment to drop £7 per month from January :) also had an emailed copy of the annual report, not sure if I will get a paper copy this year because of covid. One more regular review and then the final one to go!

Just sent in forms for review no 3, much easier this time as they didn't send encrypted word files! Hopefully just the one next year and then the final one to go. Pased the halfway marker for my payments earlier this year. Hopefully it's all as smooth as the last couple.
