Hi abbiesmum2003, All credit cards are maxed. again. I try and put big amounts on them, and then i need the money again for food and insurance and just things to live. It's so disheartening. I feel so happy and positive about paying them, and then the fees come out and i need to use the money, and ...

If it makes you feel any easier, stepchange manage my IVA, my biggest debts were Barclaycard and Natwest. Both of these passed the accounts to an insolvency firm once they were aware of the IVA, both voted yes. I didn't have any no votes on mine, my other debts were first direct, lloyd's and mbna. T...

Cheers Foggy. I did wonder about the increases in other things. Who knows by then I might be back in the office anyway and just be wondering for the sake of it now! It has been nice to have the extra money each month recently though!

I was just wondering if anyone has had a review during lockdown whilst having reduced travel costs (working from home) as currently I am working at home and not paying travel fares. I emailed Stepchange in April to ask if I needed to make extra payments temporarily, the answer I received was around ...

Before the IVA I used to have a spreadsheet, but all money went in and out of the one account so I constantly needed to see how much was due to go to know what was available. At the start of my IVA I went old school and kept a bit of paper on the fridge door with my outgoings and cross them all off ...

I just realised I have just made payment no 30! I am half way, even though it only feels like 3 months ago that I started this journey. I hope the other half goes as quickly and without hitch. Back when I started this path, I considered setting out 60 squares, one to fill in each time I made a payme...

This happened to a joint account I was named on. The ex used it and before my IVA I had tried to be removed from it but didn't realise as Lloyd's only told the other party that to remove me, the overdraft must be ceased and they were instructed to keep me on (I complained about this aspect and they ...

I just got this information from Stepchange today. Unsure if it applies across the board, but worth enquiring if you are a key worker on overtime. "I'm a key worker. Do I need to pay more into my IVA?" If you're a key worker, you don't need to make additional IVA payments during the coronavirus cris...

My personal experience of stepchange for an IVA has been fine so far, my circumstances are fairly simple though, debts acquired whilst married which were manageable with two incomes, however after separating it was too difficult to manage.

When my proposal was being drawn up, Stepchange advised me to start living to my IVA budget, and as my payment to then was £275 the guy said I should pro rata it according to debt amounts and pay them accordingly. Barclaycard were my largest one, I paid them the biggest chunk but it wasn't the £230i...

I am not sure that being added as a creditor is appropriate, This link on Gov.uk suggests it's a court fine https://www.gov.uk/tenancy-deposit-protection/if-your-landlord-doesnt-protect-your-deposit And this link on slStepchange says court fees aren't included in an IVA. https://www.stepchange.org/d...

She just needs cheaper dog food without Paypal being involved. Wrong thread I think Kallis! My pet budget was questioned on my data gather as his insurance, cat litter and special food was put down as about £45 per month. When the proposal was sent to me, I noticed they had upped my food budget and...
