It seems strange that we are getting letters from him if he has retired. I have read that Clear Debt IVA 's prior to 2016 were sold to Aperture, would this include completed IVA' s? If so, why am I being contacted by Clear Debt and not Aperture?

It was worth a try! I'm just quite angry that I'm being penalised over something that was missold in the first place.

Just thinking with lots of people being sent forms for their IVA companies to start claiming PPI. When I signed up for my IVA it was with the promise that I would be debt free in 5 years if I successfully completed it. As I have mentioned before, the fact that even the industry didn't know how to deal with PPI, which was only just surfaceing around 2009 / 2010 means they cannot expect you to have known. This is what I don't understand. If we weren't entitled to the money, why were we sent it? Why did the banks not send it to the IVA company? I cannot recall PPI ever being mentioned in or at the end of my IVA, I don't think it even existed then,or I wasn't aware of it. Mine concluded in 2010 I think...

I too have received these letters, are we obliged to sign if they purport to come from Mr Mond, but they may not have done?

First off, did your IP at any time during closure mention PPI refunds? I doubt it as you say PPI wasn't 'a thing' 6 years ago. Don't sign anything, deny any knowledge of the PPI being an asset of the IVA in your period of being in an IVA. I doubt very much your IP has the time, will or legal backin...
