Thankyou all for your valuable suggestions. I think in the circumstances we don't really have much to lose. I have decided to call DFD on Monday and ask for a review. Going by my calculations this is going to show little surplus income with the reduction of income and increase of outgoings, ie. chil...

We are already paying 280 pcm. Our payments will increase when my car hp agreement ends next year. So we are £120 a month down due to tax credit reductions and £50 a month down due to my husband having to cut his hours. There's also the fact that both our children are now needing shoes so thats 20-3...

I did stipulate that that was our only really viable option. But the girl I spoke to just said all they could really do was see about reduced contributions. Surely if they won't accept 3k they're not going to accept what we've paid to date?

Thankyou everyone for your replies. We have been thinking sbout it and have pretty much decided that bankruptcy is the route we are likely to take. Our situation is not likely to improve in the foseeable futureI and I have to put mychildren first and ensure their needs are my top priority. I know it...

Thanks for the swift replies. We are actually paying 280 at the moment. When my car HP finishes next april the 'spare' money (if there is such a thing) will then increase our payments to make it up to 12K. I have though about reduced contributions but wouldn't this lead to an extension. We already h...

Hi all, Haven't been on here for a while but was hoping for some advice if anybody could help. We have 2.5 years left of our IVA which if we completed would pay another 12K. We are currently seriously struggling. We have 2 small children and due to the youngest turning 1 our taxt credits have been r...

After raving about how good debt free direct have always been with us, I finally have a complaint. Before going on maternity leave with my second child I agreed with DFD to have a payment break for oct09 then reduced payments for 9 months until I returned to work. Everything ran smoothly, until toda...

I must admit that after having my little girl I refused all pain medication. I'm the sort of person who likes to know when it stops hurting of it's own accord. A morphine drip though, I'd proabably be tempted, just to see!!!

I had pethidine before the epidural with my first. Thought I'd try all the drugs on offer. The midwife couldn't believe I was sitting reading a book after the pethidine injection. I do have a very high tolerence to anaesthetic drugs though. Usually takes a good few before the dentist can get anywher...

In response to Ladyh and Swansgirl, my little girl will be 2 on 6th November so am hoping this one will be well out by then. I second the opinion on epidurals. My first was in an awkward position and got stuck after 30 hours of contractions. I don't think I'd have survived if it hadn't been for the ...

Thankyou. We already found out it's another girl but we're really struggling on names this time around. Just praying it all goes smoothly as I had a pretty rough time with my first. She's outweighed the tough delivery by miles though. She's a little angel!

I'm due 24th October. Although it feels like forever away. At least all IVA worries are sorted. They even took into account that my hubby wanted to take 2 weeks paternity leave on the measly statutory paternity pay. He was self employed when our daughter was born so couldn't afford time off. At leas...

Hi to everybody and I hope all are well. Just reading a few posts on here and just thought I'd even things out by giving DFD a bit of good press. Some of you may remember my anxieties a few months ago regarding outstanding tax bills, annual reviews and pregnancy. Well as hoped, everything has now be...
