The guilt is awful isn’t it, but you don’t need to feel like that anymore. Telling my husband of 1 year was awful- he knew I had cards and loans but no idea how much they added up to, I think he was under the same illusion as my kids you’ve got a great job you can afford it, if I don’t ask how we’ve...

I’m so pleased for you - I’ve been checking on your nail biting wait throughout the day! I started my IVA last April and it has changed my life. I actually feel I have more money than ever as things had got so tight with the amount I was paying in credit despite having a good salary. However tight s...

I hope you’ve heard by now and it’s good news! Sounds like they’ve been chasing creditors which is so unfair when you’ve already waited so long. This is the start of being debt free now, well done for taking control- the relief you will feel is unbelievable.

Yes that seems to be what Co op young drivers do, they use Premiuim Credit. Premium credit have just emailed me this morning and asked if I can send a signed letter from my IP confirming that they are happy for me to enter into a credit agreement with them , which they will then consider when they r...

Thanks for that it’s really helpful. I felt so low about it yesterday as it’s the first time it’s been a real issue having an IVA. I’ve been managing to budget and although Christmas seemed strange without credit it was liberating! I think the insurance is tricky due to my daughter making it so expe...

Hi many thanks for that I will try Direct Line. I spoke to my IP and they said I could miss 1 month and catch it up later but I’d rather try and find an insurance company I can pay monthly as I’m going to come across this issue again until my daughter is no longer on my insurance.

:D I hope things are easier for you now in 2019. I entered into an IVA last year in May as I was feeling everything you were feeling. I was also 47 and in a good job but a divorce 4 years earlier, 40% of my salary going on maintenance and 4 children saw the credit cards rack up, although I never def...

<t>Hi I entered an IVA in May 2018 and the first problem I’ve encountered is today when I’ve just been refused a direct debit for my car insurance. As my 19 year old daughter is named on my insurance it’s £1200 per year and I can’t afford it in one payment. Does anyone know of an insurance company t...
