I have switched providers using sim only contacts. Good if you can use existing phone or fund a new one. Actually applied last night for an o2 account. As normally happens it doesn't go through straight away they go off and do 'extra' checks. Haven't heard yet if o2 will say yes. Three & virgin have...

Natwest Foundation account works good for us. We don't have a contact less debit card but can use Google Pay on phone which is even better cos it doesn't have a £45 limit. The only down side is you can't use 'Pay at Pump' when at the petrol station. Can be difficult out of hours. The Nationwide Flew...

You will have to inform them of the inheritance as some, if not all, will have to be paid across. Knew we would have to inform them of the inheritance. Wasn't sure when. It still could of course take some more time to organise. Thanks again for the advice from all you guys. It is amazing how patien...

BigSami you need to lay your situation out to your IP, explain the current situation re childcare, your sites change in earnings and the fact to get through the last few months you have had support from family members, but this will need to be repaid. You will need to inform them of the inheritance...

We are in a really strange position with this. We have had our 1st review end of 2019. It was basically fine because was able to pass off cash withdrawls as childcare payments. They are now asking for a 2nd review which is a problem because the last 3 months we have borrowed money from my brother to...

Thanks for the reply. Paying it off for 15 years doesn't sound like any improvement at all.
Expect you are right about raising a complaint about mis selling. It isnt like I actually have any proof they told me to effectively lie as I wasnt recording the call.

Our situation is completely different to the original post but we feel like we were mis sold. My wife & I had a combined debt of £38k and we were really struggling to meet the monthly payments. But our IVA has been the easist thing going because although we have paid back over £400 a month, our disp...

I am sorry to post this, a multi layered problem which is causing me anxiety when I really should be grieving for my mum who passed away at the weekend. When all the legal processes and my mum's house is sold and split with my brother and sister I will inherit a large sum of money. Far in excess of ...

I'm about 15 months into my IVA.
I do occasional foreign travel with my employer. Because of my IVA I have resisted the getting added to the company credit card but they just suggested I should get a card again.
Would I be turned down if I apply for a card on the company's account?

Thanks for your help. Usually an insurance payout to replace the vehicle is OK if that is what it is actually used for -- after all, at the end of the day, no vehicle often means no work these days, which, in turn, would mean no IVA payments ! There should be no problem if your parents are kind enou...

We are only a few months into our IVA. My wife had an accident which has probably written car off, waiting for confirmation but cant see that it wont be. She definitely needs to replace the car. We'll probably get 2k-2.5k offered by insurance co. but where do we stand with the IVA? Assuming (cos I t...
