I've just been landed in a similar situation .. I also wanted to avoid BR at all costs but now I'm being told the facts it doesn't seem as bad as it sounds.

What aspect of BR makes it out of the question? I'm not a pro like others here but I might be able to relate to your concerns.

Just checked my employment contract ... says that they 'may' terminate my employment if I become bankrupt or enter a voluntary arrangement. Nuts.

...they're not FSA registered.

Thanks all !! ...meeting is in progress and have already had a couple of calls. They've asked for £545, which is over the £500 in the proposal and the £479 originally advised by Thomas Charles as the required payment. This is quite stressful ... my I&E is far from generous and they're still pushing ...
