Think I may have found my answer through the haystack that is Google - seems that even if it was possible, finding a lender to accept an application would be pretty difficult!

Hi all, hope everyone is keeping well. Is there a possibility to apply for a secured loan (joint mortgage) to make a F&F early settlement offer on my IVA? Would I even be accepted as part of the application? - and if so, would I need prior agreement from my IP before making any applications? Thanks ...

Hi Breezy, sorry I think I’ve muddled the water slightly here. Two situations going slightly hand in hand… ATCs & Company Card. According to the agreement I’m reading over currently, my employer is the ‘subscriber’ (card holder) & I (card user) will have a card in my name. The T&Cs state that the Ca...

Hi Kallis, thanks for your reply! The company card is with AirPlus and it will be in my name - will this cause any issues do you think? No credit check is needed so I didn’t think it would cause a problem. I’ll mention the name to my IP as well, thanks for flagging that in my mind!

<r>My employer has moved my work location and as a result they have agreed to discuss paying me Additional Travel Costs (ATCs). This would show on my payslip as ‘travel allowance’. <br/> <br/> I’d just like to check this would not be taken down as additional income? It would be offset by the costs o...

Not going to happen. Apart from the fact that your IP will object ( there will be a restriction on the property requiring his agreement), you will need to be a party to the loan, which is not allowed under the terms of the IVA and you will fail the credit check. Thanks Foggy, I thought this would b...

Sorry that should read “Chances of approval” not changes! [amended by admin]
Also not sure if it’s worth noting, but Virgin hold 9% of the total value.

Chances of approval? Just wondering what my chances of approvals are? Im the the process of an IVA with FSS - Financial Support Systems and my creditors meeting is scheduled for 21/12/2020 at 10:30. With it being so close to Christmas, I think I’d sleep better knowing what my chances are if anyone c...

Hi OooNutty,

Hope your IVA is going well! May I ask, what part of Sainsbury’s was the rejection from? I.e. credit card, loan, finance etc?

Hey worried535, How did you get on? I am also in the process of an IVA with FSS. My dividend return is also quite low at 14.69p/£ with outcome of IVA being £7,350 available to creditors (in comparison to the bankruptcy dividend of 3.49p/£ with £0.00 available to creditors). I am super nervous about ...

Hi both, sorry to jump back before you've had the chance to reply. But out of curiosity - we had a big holiday booked and paid for and were due to go away Aug 2020. Because of corona, we've re-booked for April 2021. Would we be expected to cancel this holiday if entering into an IVA? Not sure if tha...

Hi Foggy & Size5! Thanks both for your replies. I will start saving receipts of fuel expenses in preparation - we're planning to speak to McD and PayPlan next week to talk through the options. Is there a typical accepted rate of pence to pound? Would £25p/£ be deemed okay in most aspects? We're slig...

Oh I should also clarify that it’s not just me paying for both of our debts, we’d be looking to apply for a joint/linked IVA or whatever that’s called :)
