Definetely go for co-op basic bank account. I have found them excellent - and the post office paying in/withdraw facility is dead handy too!

Hi Fergie - welcome to the forum. Not sure what you mean by ''referred''? Is it co-op who have referred you? I have a basic bank account with co-op and find them very good. I just applied over phone and it was all set up and agreed there and then. I was same as you - terrified I'd be refused as didn...

Hi - exact same thing happened to me - after IVA was approved. Taxcredit people were chasing me for overpayment of £700, and even though I took them on and had all paperwork to prove it was their fault,I was just fighting a losing battle - they absolutley wouldn't accept blame! Anyhow, I got so fed ...

Hi Abi. Well Im glad to see som-one else had as much a mixed variety of cards and lenders as I did!! Nothing to be proud of I know, not making light of it, but at least you've got it sorted. The sum payable each month may feel scarey at the minute but Im sure its a lot better than what you would hav...

Hi - 1st of all, how lucky are you just having a 10% overtime clause - most of us seem to be stuck with a 50%one!! Anyway, thats great for you, and everyone's circumstances are different, but just thought I'd let you know that in my experience, the overtime has been taken off the net figure - in oth...

I'm in a bit of a state and need some advice please. I've had an IVA successfully in place for approx 18 months, no major problems, just ticking along. However, I have got myself into arrears with mortgage - not missed any payments, but made underpayments due to serious shortage of funds with overtim...

God this is awful for you. I too am no expert but I'd have thought that 3 years into paying your IVA - with an excellent record and no missed payments, their suggestion seems a bit harsh under the circumstances. My understanding is that all IVA's are unique and people's circumstances do change - thr...

I've had a few letters since my IVA was agreed from Eversheds advising me that various accounts have been sold on and transferred to MAX Recovery Ltd. The latest letter received is in relation to a Marks & Spencer account which went into my IVA.

My god you poor thing. On top of everything else, you so don't need this right now. Can't comment on your place of work's policy, but don't they have proper procedures/policy's in place for dealing with dismissal? Not sure its legal in employment law for them to have done what theyv'e done - and via...
