Choice1 i agree with you - it isn't just a case of avoiding the debt, it is, as stated in the original post, maybe reducing the extortionate interest rates charged on these loans. Yes we knew what the rate was when the loan was taken out, but when you're desparate, anything that you think will help ...

I too agree with what andy says, but don't you also think there is a bit of hyprocrisy on here re the taking out of loans etc then not paying it back? Is this not what IVA/Bankrupcy is???? Just a thought.

Hi - yes we've done I&E and can afford a bit extra each month, but my worry is that they will ask for it backdating to review date i.e 2 months worth of extra payment in one go plus that current months, or worse say we've defaulted cos we didn't pay the extra from the review date.
