Hi WallE - thanks for your reply. I did email that address and I've also written back to the address that informed me I'd need a new UTR etc. I just need to know exactly how much they're going to want from me in January as the first payment towards 22/23 so I don't end up in any more trouble! My acc...

That's great thank you so much - I would phone the general line but I need to write to them. This is perfect thank you - I'll send a copy to both this address and the main self-assessment one and hopefully one will hit the right people.

Hello hello, This may be a question beyond anyone BUT I have been advised my by IVA people that I need to contact the HMRC to arrange my UTR for paying tax for 22/23 onwards. The 21/22 debt is captured within my IVA which began in January this year however I am still self-employed and obviously need...

Haha I like this!!

I'm assuming my HMRC debt will drop off my gov gateway account at some point so I can make future payments as I should? All kinds of niggly questions popping up now!

Thanks so much for the replies! The man I spoke to from the company said they were given the prescribed amount of time so can't really be any argument - I never expected this to happen! Time to get to grips with this new approach to living! Chances are with the timing, peak leave for Christmas and s...

Heya again - so I've just spoken to the guys handling my IVA and it has been accepted - I can't believe it. The HMRC did not vote, which seems like madness, but now it's accepted - there's nothing they can do right?!

Thank you luluj - logically I know this but it's nice to see written down! The IP seem to have a good reputation on here and generally so I hope so, I'm working 60+ hours a week and it's getting me nowhere so hopefully this is a chance to repair/find a way out of this mess! Have a lovely Christmasti...

I should also add I really do want to pay back as much as possible - I owe the money and really want to give it back.

Hi kallis3, Thanks for your reply. My big worry is my vehicle...the company I have the HP from seem to have a reputation (from googling) of wanting the vehicle back if I were to go bankrupt - even though it is worth less than 50% of what I owe them. I have been advised it'd not be something the BR w...

Thanks for your reply. The guy I was speaking to about my IVA said that if the IVA doesn't work (and he considered it "high risk" due to the significant HMRC debt) then bankruptcy is basically my only option...you would think that they'd accept the IVA on the basis that I have nothing to give in BR ...

I have posted just once before but finally went through with attempting my IVA in the last few weeks...I'm struggling to be remotely optimistic about it but everything was submitted today and the Creditor's meeting is on 07.01.21... Nothing I do can make me stop being convinced it simply won't work,...

Thanks for your input. It is hard to know what to do. I have zero assets so I don't have that concern at least. In just very torn on what I should do.

Thanks again for sharing your experiences.

Thank you :) - I just feel so clueless - they've never let me setup a payment plan and have always refused my offers saying they won't be good enough so I've hit a bit of a brick wall. I have always made payments but to no avail really... I will try - I really struggle with telephone calls so PayPla...

Thank you for your reply it's really helpful - I'm trying not to panic too much but not doing very well there. I did chat with the company you've mentioned online and they've said they'll phone me tomorrow so that's something. I had discussed things with PayPlan but am not convinced, reading posts h...
