Patrick,

I would reccomend Melanie Giles, we were referred via Thomas Charles but you can go directly to her website and contact her team. I have just had my IVA approved and the whole process was very smooth and efficient, she has a very competent team working alongside her.

Hi guys, Thanks for your responses, Melanie we will speak to the BR team on Monday as Mish is suggesting. Hi Andy, The disputed amount is approx £300 and the date of the BR was the 8th August, We could probably sort the arrears with a bit of overtime but I just think NR are putting as many obstacles in our path as possible. It was only NR out of 11 creditors that said no to his IVA proposal otherwise he...

Hi all, First of all just an update on the BR, it has been accepted after seeking further leagal advice on our home. OR has been in touch and has said as there is negative equity in our home, as long as we maintain contractual mortgage payments our home wont be affected at all, they are not interest...

Hi catullus,

Thanks for that, it has made things a lot clearer, we will just discuss things with the OR regarding the house, hopefully we will be able to make an agreement.

It is a relief about the charging order, at least we will be protected from any further action.

Thanks again.

catullus, We had already received advice but she felt there were flaws in what we had been advised. We have been to see a solicitor who gave us a free consulation. They have basically advised that for 3 years the home will hang in the balance. There is negative equity in it at the moment but at it w...

Hi all, Bit of an update first of all BR hearing went well, the Judge adjourned the hearing as she wanted us to take some further legal advice rerading the house as she felt we were not educated enough on what could happen to it under BR proceedings. She said once the advice had been saught, to go b...

Well my hubby rang the court today and they have told him they don't do an appointment system, he just needs to turn up with his forms and his fee and they will see him there and then. Can it really be done that quickly? We both feel very nervous as we just want things to be accepted and cleared up ...

Hi Guys, After much consideration it looks like my hubby is going to go for BR. My monthly payments is £625 for the IVA, our initial proposal was a payment of £985 on £120k, hubby has received his chairmans report and shows he has £70k in his name so a DMP with £360 a month on offer for this level o...

The monthly repayment is £89 with about 3 years left to go, with him travelling such a distance an older car in my opinion would be very risky and I dont think we could get a reasonably new car any cheaper than what we pay for this. It is not a flashy car or anthing it's a citroen C3 but without it ...

Just wondering if anyone knows what woule happen to my hubby's car if he went BR. The car is 5 years old and worth approx £3000 but has HP outstanding on it of about £3000. Would it likely be taken away under BR proceedings - it is essential he has this as he works 100 mile away from home. Thanks An...

Hi guys, Just had hubbys chairmans report through today and it is so annoying!! We has an acceptance of 71.06% NR were just able to stop it going through, everyone else is down as having accepted which to think 10 out of 11 creditors said yes but still it's an overall no is really frustrating! Hi guys, Well after a long long 6 months or so I finally have a bit of hope! Myself and my husband proposed IVA's, my main creditor was HSBC and his Northern Rock so we were very sceptical. Both meetings were initially adjourned. Within my own proposal, Black Horse rejected but thanks to some great ...
