im happy with my iva too, as long as my IP does not expect more than i realisticly can afford then i dont see why my iva cannot be successfull, also they are a good learning cove regarding spending & this will hopefully hold me in good stead when i have completed my iva.

I think we all get these statements at some point but nothing to worry about as long as you are paying your agreed IVA contributions

Yes you are allowed to do this as I had the same question to my IP 2 years ago & they said this is acceptable as it is only credit for genuine needs & not for say purchasing a TV.

If at annual reviews we dont agree with the IP, do we have a right to contest or refuse any additional contributions if it is felt we genuinly cannot afford it / or do we just have to put up with whatever the IP thinks &/or says ?

I also did not know I could have a hygiene allowance too, I do get a clothing allowance which is only £25, when taking out an IVA was £140 food all...

I sent my annual IVA documents to my IP at the end of July for my a review at the beginning of August, I explained that I had taken a new better paid job & felt I could contribute a bit more to my IVA, however we are now into October & I still have not heard a thing from my IP, this is my 2nd review...
