Some interesting stats re Tax Credits: 2003-2004 There were 5,670,000 claims for Tax Credits. 1,879,000 claims were overpaid by a total of £1,931,000,000. Sorry Marsha Kind of missed your post on TC's. I would say that any overpayment (HMRC certainly treat OP's this way) is a debt so should be included. Although I suspect the cads at HMRC may tell you different. I am not the most experianced in this field but if you go to www.taxcc.org I'm pretty sure...
