A month on since I last posted, still no refund. They moved everything to the new UTR just not the tax that was paid so tried to say we owed £3400! Made another complaint debt been taken off as tax was paid on the old UTR!

Since I last posted I managed to get through to the online chat. They have confirmed that a new UTR has been posted along with a letter, we should also have an update on our complaint by 24/07. Once the new UTR comes I think we will have to resubmit the self assessment and go from there. Hopefully i...

Just looking at all of the paperwork HMRC are added as a debt for £1 however we don’t owe them anything, do you know why?

Thank you for your reply. When I originally contacted HMRC they said I should hear something by 11/05 and get a letter.

Hopefully it will all be sorted by then!!

Just had our annual review and they confirmed that we could have our tax refund it has been passed to the accounts team to let HMRC know. I have no idea how long this process takes. In the meantime we have had some positive news if my husband uses this to complete some courses he has a paye position...

Me too, this money is what we use for our expenses. I haven’t included any in the budget. Now concerned that they will take the refund. Obviously, when we started the Iva they knew he was self employed under cis and didn’t take his expenses into account

I have spoken to them and they have just said that it will be passed to the supervisor and they will decide.

Was just looking at peoples experiences.
