One positive about the drop in prices is i just may be able to keep my home now. In May there was 8k equity in my house, by July this was £3k now i would be surprised if there was any equity at all. I would be quite happy with another small drop in prices as long as they pick up again in about 3 yea...

Please could somebody advise me on the following. My understanding is that as we are a family with a young child the OR will not reposess for 12 months, is this correct? What then happens after the 12 months? Do they kick you out and then attempt to sell the property, or do they wait until it is sol...

I have just had an IVA rejected, well to be honest i am not sure if it was rejected or whether my IP pulled the plug on it when they knew it was going to be rejected. Anyway they charged me £3k + VAT up front for this and didn't seem to actually do much other than put a proposal together and write t...

By yestaerday only one creditor had voted, NR and this was a yes. This morning the rest of the votes came in as rejections. Adjourned for a week to see if they can be pursuaded otherwise. Suppose 15p in the pound was hoping a bit but the way my IP went on you would of thought it was done and dusted....

In february i decided to go for an IVA and stopped paying my creditors on the advice of my IP. In between stopping paying and my IVA proposal going out to my creditors i received 2 court action notices which i sent back my incoming / outgoing as requested. I have now received 2 CCJ's against me for ...

Got my meeting tomorrow and obviously getting a little nervous now. I have proposed a one off lump sum IVA of 15 pence in the pound on debts of just over £100k. I have received confirmation that NR have agreed with only a couple of minor mods, so far nobody else has voted. My IP seems very confident...

Thank you all. Maybe i never worded my question very well... What i wanted to know was how the 75% voting worked. If N.Rock own 24% of my debt and they vote Yes, is that 24% towards the 75% or does it go on amount of creditors voting rather than value of debt? i.e if for instance 10 creditors voted ...

Got my creditors meeting on Thursday, fingers crossed, anyway have today found out N.Rock have voted yes to 15 pence in the pound with only a couple of mods. Value of N.Rock debt is £24k out of £102k so still a long way from acceptance but should i be feeling optimistic? Also does the vote have to b...

My meeting is set for 1st May and my IP has said that i will be expected to attend. I keep reading on here that people have 'waited for the phone call' for the result which sounds like people do not actually attend the meeting. Any ideas why i would be expected to attend? and if i do attend what sho...

Melanie, Thank you. In your opinion how likely is a lump sum 15 pence in the pound to be accepted. Basically my IP has put together a comparison between a one off IVA payment and my only alternative option which is bankruptcy. In bankruptcy they would not get a penny and in a one off IVA they get £1...

First post so please bear with me if i am asking stupid questions. I owe in excess of £100k and I am currently awaiting a creditors meeting for a proposed lump sum IVA. Apparently it will be hit and miss whether it is accepted as it is only 15 pence in the pound. Northern Rock have apparently said t...
