In bankruptcy you receive a zero tax code in PAYE to the 5th April following, which can be used to set up an income payments agreement. Does anyone know why you do not get a zero tax code in PAYE in an IVA?

That is good news. I hope it spreads quicker than some of the more recent doom and gloom and that such common sense commercial mindedness filters through to the likes of Tix, HSBC, Northern Rock, Student Loan...I could go on!

Hi d73 The terms of the finance contract may dictate that you can return the motor. The motor could then be sold at auction. Any shortfall could be included in the IVA – provided it does not materially affect the dividend forecast. You might ask for authority to sell the motor and hand over the sale...

Notwithstanding the affect on directorships, bankruptcy no longer precludes you from being a school governor. A BRO/ BRU however, would.
