What if I can't find my payslips? I can just show the bank statements. One other concern I have is the charity donations I am making. I do give a bit to charity every month and try to cut back on my expenses the best I can. Will this affect my review in anyway? Cheers.

£200 is for myself (which is twice of what I had originally declared). In addition to this I have my travelling (public transportation), healthcare of about £40 (non NHS as NHS don't seem to think much of it), my rent and a few bobs I throw in for the family I am staying with (as they are close rela...

GT agreed to review my case. Quick question. Is £200 for basic groceries, toiletries and household goods a reasonable budget? And what happens if I land a really good job that enables me to pay off not just the IVA but entire loan amount within a few years? My Case Supervisor tells me that if this w...

I have one other concern. How do I show my grocery expenses to my IP? I have already asked them this question but have not got a proper reply. I don't always show at Supermarkets. I buy from markets etc and have no receipts to show for it. What happens then when it's time for my annual review?

If my IP doesn't manage to reduce my monthly contributions, will that be sufficient grounds for going bankrupt? Please don't get me wrong. I am not looking for a way out of the IVA as I can't imagine how devastating a BR would be on my entire future. But given my current situation I would like to kn...

Firstly thank you so much being so supportive and helpful. I am going to drop in an email to the person assigned to my case. I am also going to request that I be put in direct communication with my IP if possible. I have a few quick questions though and I am hoping you will be able to answer me bett...

Thank you ALL very much for your input. I am with Grant Thornton. They seem very reputed but they seem very rigid in their approach. They don't accept that the rent could go up if I move house and they are very ignorant to my requests to revise the monthly IVA contribution. They have simply said tha...

Hi all It's been a while since I wrote here. The IVA forum has been most helpful in the process of obtaining an IVA. However I have now run into some difficulties as my original IVA's estimated expenses weren't realistic to begin with. The groceries for instance, I had given an estimated figure that...

The meeting with my creditors is coming up on the 30th of July. In the meantime I also wish to apply for life insurance for peace of mind. Can my creditors or my IP claim any of those funds should the unexpected happen? Cheers.

Can Creditors refer me to Collection Agencies and if should what must I do when such an Agency sends in a demand of payment?
Cheers.

I think the best way to go about it is check through my past bank statements and examine my actual expenses.
BTW can a bankrupt be self-employed and be VAT registered?

I am going ahead with the IVA for now. I feel quite a bit uncomfortable with the decision though. I am thinking of switching to a BR from the IVA should my repayments don't meet up within the first few months. Is it really possible to come out of an IVA if I can't meet the monthly repayments? Also w...

My expenses are very restricted in my current proposal. I don't have any money to spare to go out or even to dine out for the rarest of occasions. And besides I can only manage this provided I stay single for the next five years which is highly unlikely. My current budget doesn't allow any kind of e...

I am thinking of going into an IVA and should my efforts fail then declare bankruptcy. How soon can I come out of an IVA should I feel it's unrealistic? And how can I prove that it is?
Cheers.
