We have been in an IVA since early August and luckly had not received any mail from creditors after this time. However I did receive a letter from MBNA, a company I held a credit card with and who voted in favour on my IVA, stating that I owed them money and if it was not paid in about 3 weeks they ...

Thank you for that, I was feeling very guilty about causing people so much worry. I have been thinking about it though and the lady at the IVA company told me she had the name of the man she sends it to, so I thought I would ring her back and ask her for it then look for his telephonenumber on the i...

Im really really sorry if I have caused everyone so much worry. I was just looking for an answer as I was feeling so desperate. I had been in hysterics to the lady at the IVA company begging her not to send the info to my work incase I got into trouble.

Why don't you wait to see what happens to me!!!
I will post if work contct me about the IVA after they receive the letter. If you havent said anything yet another couple of weeks will not cause any harm and its best not to say anything if you dont have to.

Thats exactly the reason why I am so worried about my office being informed. Everyone knows everyones business and there are no secrets at all!!! I would be so so embarrased if it got out as it would spread like wildfire. To those who have replied that are civil servants, did you get told your IVA i...

Hi Its just to let you know that i spoke to McCambridge Duffy today and explained that they will only need to send in my husbands details to HMRC but they are still insisting that they need to send mine. Apparently HMRC have it in a legal clause of an IVA that if you work for them and take out one t...

Ok I understand now. The lady I spoke to did mention that we needed to but this tax years self employed tax owing into the IVA. She did not mention that was why they needed to write to employer though!! She said without even discussing my case I should do a voluntary repayment thing (you know what I...

Thanks for replying so quickly. I am with a company called McCambridge - Duffy. I originally rang Debt Free Direct and they transferred me to them as my husband is self employed and they only deal with employed people apparently. I rang my HR dept but they wouldnt let me ask a question without provi...

Do you know why this is as when I have researched this on the internet there is no mention of this. Also do you know if my job may be at risk as I work fo...
