Pentre, DD is right. Under no circumstances be pushed into any financial arrangement until you are better. I just can't believe what I just read back there. How disgusting of so called professionals to tell a mentally ill person to get finanacial assistance when they know that this person has stated...

I can imagine that scenario quite clearly. :-) Abit of Oliver Twist at a variance meeting. "Please Sir, may I have some more..." :-) "No you swine!!!" :-) My sig. Eat the debt. My raison d'etre is to put TIX 'the isolvency exchange' out of business by informing anyone who will listen to take a bankr...

It seems that Debtors are being burnt on IVAs because the creditors insist that the BBA figures are used for living allowances. How are these figures being derived? Do the creditors think that Debtors live in mud huts using flints to ignite fires to keep warm at night? What rights of appeal could be...

You know of a reputable estate agent? Has the pope canonized that individual yet? :-) As regards, IP qualifications: What minimum qualification should the IP or his/her case manager be holding? Should they be at least an ACCA member? BTW I did mention that not all IPs were of the type I described. H...

It seems that Insolvency Practioners have been getting a bad name. From my own experience I find that they seem to belong to two camps, R3 and non-R3. R3, correct me if I've misinterpreted facts, was setup by the Banks for the creditors to prevent the government from bringing in regulation. Non-R3, ...

It seems that the latest 'in' fashion from creditors is to launch a Charging Order attack on its Debtors to prevent the debt from falling into an IVA arrangement. Asset Links, working for GE Money, is one such Debt Collection agency that is up to these tricks. If a debtor fails to get an IVA arrange...

There are probably many people out there like myself where Inland Revenue has overpaid tax credits to them due to one of the very many errors that have occurred during this governments reign. Need I say more. My question is: If you owe tax credits and Inland Revenue is one of your creditors what hap...

I can confirm that you will need the services of an IP for an iva. Stay away from IPs that want money up front as IVA acceptance is very hit or miss in the current climate. You're better off choosing an IP who is a member of the group known as R3. Don't be surprised if some of your creditors want 40...

I have the BT two telephone number feature, it's quite cheap to employ. The other telephone number has a different ring sequence, even tho it's the same telephone line. I utilise a fax printer which recognises the ring sequence of the other telephone number. If the creditors start to annoy me I'll s...

This question is aimed at those people who are experts or have been in an IVA for at least 12 months.

When you are in an IVA and you receive an annual pay increase.
What percentage of that pay increase goes towards your IVA?

Choose an Insolvency Practioner that doesn't want money up front otherwise if the IVA does fail you could be out of pocket.

In our local paper you'd need a magnifying glass to see them. :-)

If people make comments then ignore them, they're simply not worth taking into consideration.

You mention that the Insolvency Exchange examine individual proposals in a consistent analytical manner and that they are looking at them from the point of having a real prospect of completing. However, it seems from the forums that I've been reading that they try to get as much money out of you tha...
