Hi Foggy, well it started off with "Debt Assist Direct" and was transferred to " Mitchell Charlesworth" in the last few Months - not sure why! We have the opportunity, but not excercised it, to, have a pop at some of the creditors with our own PPI claim, but that seemed a bit perverse all things con...

The IVA ended in Aug 2012, but were still waiting for out Cert of Comp - how long do they normally take, and at what point are we justified in making a complaint to the FSA or Insolvency service? Were not keen to seek any new credit, but we DO want to start repairing our rating..........

Hi all, just thought I would add some comments relevent to the start of this thread. My IVA ended in Aug 2012, so 8 months ago. Since then, I have managed to gain a Capital one CC with a small credit limit that I regularly use (and pay off!) and a new car for me and my wife on credit. I am lucky in ...

Hi all, Many thanks for your kind words. Yes, the sense of relief is overwhelming - as of today, 1 payment left....and I can now say, our last paymwent is due at the end of THIS month! Its been hard, it isnt meant to be easy and we so nearly failed several times, but we learned new ways of surviving...

So, after a long long long dusty road, we are 2 payments short of the end. There were times when I thought we wouldnt make it, and there were times when knew we must, but all of sudden, were almost there and starting to consider life thereafter. To all of you just strating, half way through or in it...

I know it's a bit of a cliche to say this as our IVA has been a hell of a roller coaster, but once you get in the groove, the months and years just fly by. We have almost entirely changed how we live and have just 13 more payments until were debt free. We too have gone without holidays for the last ...

My 6 year old isnt feeling it as she doesnt know otherwise, but I know she isnt getting the things I had when I was that age. But all i...

Hi all, Well, I am pretty sure with the economy as it is, that some or all of you, will be hurting every bit as much as we are. Costs have rocketed and you get so much less for so much more now. I have amazed myself just how much further we have cut - well beyond the point that we even thought we co...

Mine is the same. All utility direct debit plans work the same way. You pay a fixed Monthly cost which is based on your estimated total annual consumption divided by 12. It already takes into account that you will use less in the Summer and more in the Winter, so its not a windfall, its actually bud...

Hi all, My TOP tip is join the National Shopping Monitor at: http://www.nationalshoppingmonitor.com/register/ Basically, you get a hand held bar-code reader which you plug into your phone line. Every time you go shopping, when you get home, you zap the bar codes of all your items as you put them awa...
