That was quite an interesting post glen1971. Thomas Charles ... what level of service would you have provided to these people for £2,400 and how would the level of service differ from that provided to those paying the substantially lower sum of £500??? In my eyes, it smacks of desperation trying to...

Well said glen1971 you summed up what I have being trying to say. I practically begged TC for some sort of refund as basically I felt like I had been ripped off, I was told they would try on compassionate grounds as they had refunded on compassionate grounds before, next I heard from them was 'we ar...

Ok TC have sent me their final decision NO REFUNDS in their own words 'it is an open-and-shut case of no refund'. Interesting that they sponsor the helpline so individuals such as myself who do not have a clue about the debt advice industry call the above number and are not advised at that point tha...

I see they want 13% payrise and have been offered something like 6% -what wouldn't I give for a payrise that big! Last year I had just under 2.5% and I doubt we will will get that this year. I'm off work next week so shouldn't be too bad for me. I would give anything for 2.5% we havn't had one for ...

Hi everyone. To start with I telephoned the number on top of this web page and was immedately put through to Thomas Charles so I was not aware any different that the upfront fee's were not the norm or that I wouldnt have had to have paid these had I gone directly to an IP - No partial advice! just p...

I have over the past month or so been going through the IVA motions, this morning I received from my IP my proposal to sign for my meeting sometime in the next few weeks, looking at the figures I am wondering if BR would be the best option to take. I live alone in Housing Association I have no asses...

Well I am just about to begrudgingly pay the second payment of £259.00. To be perfectly honest they have done no more work than I have done directly with my IP as I had to cover all the details again. By the way if the IVA fails this money is not refundable. I would also stress to anyone to beware, ...

Thank you all, yes it was originally marketed to me as an additional 2 payments on my IVA and I think I have learnt a hard and expensive lesson, I would rather that money either be in contingency or gone towards my IVA in a way I feel like I have been taken advantage of. I really did think that ring...

Hi everyone I am new here and have an IVA in the process just waiting to finalise the details. I have a query on upfront fee's as I have been reading that some people have had no upfront fee's to pay, I don't quite understand why I have had to pay over £500.00 over the past couple of months. I calle...
